About Lerato M

I Lerato M (Mofokeng) I am a young woman in my 30s. Married to my handsome husband (Kahiso) and I love the Lord. I am a daughter and a sister to two biological sisters and two sisters in love. I was raised in a township called Mamelodi in Pretoria, South Africa. I am driven and I am such a creative. Propelled by change and development of self and others which are amongst some of my passions.

I have a post-graduate diploma in Business Management through Mancosa and an Honours degree in Business Studies through the University of Greenwich, having a love for Business and entrepreneurship. Let us take it back a little bit when I was in primary school to be exact in grade 4 I was asked a question which it is still so vivid in my memory, and the question from our teacher was “What do you want to be when you grow up?” and I told our teacher that I want to be a Businesswoman and nothing could change my mind since however, I didn’t fully understand what that meant or entailed. I further studied and went to high school, In grade 9 we had to choose a stream for our study which will be like a foundation of your tertiary education and we only had three options at our school to choose from, which was either commercial studies, Sciences or technical studies. I tell you I wanted to change then cause all my friends were going to choose sciences and it has been rumored or assumed that sciences provide a better opportunity for employment. To my surprise, I was going to choose something that is not me, but law behold that was not going to happen, that day we were writing our mid-year exam and I wrote so fast and that was unlike me. This was a three-hour paper which I completed writing in an hour but immediately I stopped writing I started feeling sick, I went to tell the teacher so I can go outside and get fresh air but it was too late, halfway walking to the teacher I blacked out and ended up fainting. My friend Sibongile did something I will never forget and I appreciate her to this day, she sacrificed and went home to go to my mom to tell her that I have fainted. I didn’t have a cellphone, either her and my mother so it meant she had to go home to tell my mom, so she did but she went on foot, walked for 30 minutes and came with my mom back to school. I was in the sick room and when my mom came I felt better and was released to go home. Guess what I didn’t get an opportunity to choose which stream of study I was going to choose and if you didn’t choose, you automatically have to study commercial studies. Then I did and finished my matric. I then decided I need to study accounting because I was good at it and we had a dynamic accounting teacher who was passionate about the subject and encouraged us to follow the stream of accounting I now wanted to be a charted accounted but that was not going to be possible cause my math wasn’t going to allow me, then thought will do financial accounting instead as a backdoor to doing Bcom accounting science, but no I ended up registering Business Management and when I looked at it all, destiny made sure I do what I uttered when I was a child because that’s where I am meant to be. Now I finally studied Business and entrepreneurship.

Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t
mind me asking what theme you’re using? (and don’t
mind if I steal it? :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the theme slows (!) the site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google
(would appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!
