Lessons in each day…

Each day is full of lessons, they are plenty and not limited to one. You will have to pay close attention to notice the lessons. Quiet your surrounding daily noises in order to notice the lessons. You would need to center yourself, removing all pride in order to capture the messages in these lessons. We are surrounded by so much noise and destructions that capture our attention, robbing us the ability to realize the lessons we need to learn in each day.

Your sensitivity to the Holyspirit is essential. A few weeks ago, I was going home after work. I had just got off the bus and heading to the Gautrain and when the bus arrived at the station, the train was already in the platform. With just two minutes the train will leave and its a four-cart train, meaning it stops toward the end of the platform. I looked at the time and I tagged in at the gates and made up my mind right then and there that the train will leave while I try to run for it. I chose to just let it go. Then a lady by the name of Zinhle a frequent train user as me, approached me and says to me “let us run, we can catch it”. She said these words with so much hope and zeal, however I looked at her and I confidently said NO! we are not going to make it. We started increasing our our pace as we conversated. Zinhle continued in her pursuit to convince me that we should try and if the train leaves and we haven’t made it, its okay we would have tried.

Little did we know the train drivers were waiting for us. When we got closer, one of the train drivers said “We have been waiting for you, and we almost thought you are not riding this train and we thought to just go”. After hearing her say her words, we run with everything that was in us and when we got in the train. When we entered the train, the train started moving.

The next day, I thought to myself, Lerato you gave up yesterday and today you can not. When I got to the station, the train was already on the platform. I ran immediately after I tagged in from the boom gates. Guess what, as I was approaching the train and almost at the door, the train left and saw it pass right in front of my eyes. Yoh! I could cry, I gave it my all, I murmured; but It worked yesterday and today it leaves while I am running without giving up, with determination! WOW, I immediately felt down. Then the Holyspirit began to minister to me.

Lesson in Day 1

Don’t give-up even when with a natural eye it seems like it is over. There is always favor and opportunities to those that push, even when it is tough, when they feel like giving up but choose to give it their all. Most people give-up just as things are about to work out for their good, when those doors are about to open, when it is finally their turn after going through the most. Always seek to push beyond the situation or circumstances that are pressing you down. Don’t listen to the lies of defeat, discouragement and stagnation. Look up and keep going, give more with excellence. Surely your breakthrough is at the blink of an eye. Choose to believe it and go for it, don’t be shaken.

Lesson in Day 2

The ways, keys, strategies, skills and efforts used yesterday are not what’s going to open the door today! You are going to need new ones.

And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the skins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.

Mark 2:22

It is important to improve your prayer life, skills, your strategy, efforts, knowledge in order to see new keys open new doors. Don’t remain stale with old ways of doing things, improvement and working on yourself is of paramount importance. Prepare for what you want and give it your all through wisdom. Plan well, set goals, be accountable and consistent to avoid disappointment and heartache. Let opportunities find you prepared.

The Conclusion

I encourage you to focus in each day and see what lessons are wrapped up in the day for you to learn in each day. Some of these lessons you know but they come again; it is because you need a reminder, you might have forgotten them. Don’t resist the teachings, with an open heart accept them and apply them. Allow change and embrace it. Learning brings insight and shares light, allows growth.
